Ron Paul raised a 'jaw-dropping' $5.1M in 3Q
Republican Rep. Ron Paul's presidential campaign announced today it raised $5.1 million in the third quarter -- news that seems to have stunned our friends at ABC News' Political Radar blog, which calls Paul's haul "jaw-dropping."
"It puts Paul in the same fundraising neighborhood as top-tier Republican candidates like Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.," Political Radar notes.
In the latest Gallup Poll of Republicans, Paul's support stood at 4% -- equal to that of former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee.

The corporations have decided Hillary Clinton is their next 8-year shill.
The way she is being forced upon us by the MSM is blatant. All systems go on manufacturing public consent.
Ron Paul is our only chance to restore our constitutional republic. With big money he has a chance in the later part of the race.
This was actually mentioned on most of the cable news networks this morning. Of course, after mentioning the 'surprising' fact that RP made that much, they had to throw in, of course he doesn't stand a chance to win.
Also, made mention his 'base' was from the internet as if, that did not mean as much. What fools.
As far as Hillary, it's getting disgusting the way they all get giddy talking about her, they all hated her back when. It is such a scam.
Hopefully we will get the last laugh, and Mr. Paul will win, that is if 'they' don't mess with the election again.
peace
I don't think that they want her to win at all. I think that they want to pour money down her throat to make her crush the Democratic opposition. As soon as it is clear that she is the candidate, I think that if it is anyone other than Ron Paul who is the Republican candidate, you'll see the most massive propaganda hate machine ever.
She is absolutely hated, and vote rigging all across the country, including trying to gerrymander votes in California tells me that the Rethugs haven't even begun to fight.
It is called bait and switch.
But the fact is, that they will still own her, so big money wins whether she wins or loses.
That is how the game is played.
And that is why they DETEST Ron Paul.
He actually represents democracy.
Ron Paul would CRUSH Hillary.
All the antiwar vote goes to him.
All the 911 crowd goes to him.
All the anti abortion crowd goes to him.
All the "I'd vote for anybody but that bitch, I hate Clinton" crowd goes to him.
Anti tax people go for him.
Anti immigration people go for him.
Anti gun control people go for him.
Anti feminists go for him.
And that is just the automatic vote.
When people actually listen to him and realize that he has a great platform, it would really be over.
It is a mismatch, big money be damned.
