Weazl received a BA in Economics with an emphasis on developing countries from Yale University in the late 80's, then received his JD from Columbia Law School in the early 90's. He has practiced as both a corporate lawyer and as a criminal lawyer for nearly a decade, but currently tries to balance an interest in the esoteric with a need to decipher the moment, howling to the moon that the ship is sinking.
It's all very nice. However I can't help but to wonder, where were all these anti-Bush insights years ago? Are people bashing 'stupid' Bush because they deem his actions as 'wrong', criminal or just because their childish patriotic feelings were hurt and no flag was planted on the peak of ToraBora?
A journalist merely providers, catering to a specific market reality? Providing the product dictated by market forces to be sold to the news consumer? So a journalist in order to stay on 'top' has to adapt, like an economic subject to market realities, otherwise a specialist anti-war journalist might as well have been idle since 2001, because the market just wasn't there?
I am entertained by this Bush-bashing as a media consumer, however I don't attach any hope to it. It's just the free market at work.
Well, nice hypothesis, but the market theory doesn't work (quite) so well in real life. In this situation, the government was able to intimidate the media by claiming that they would not get access if they wrote negative stories, and the public had a very high approval rate of the Administration. As his popularity has crumbled, people have not been as afraid of being "shut out" of the Administration. In addition, as the rats flee the sinking boat, they have been more willing to sell out their higher ups and peers. And yes, the public has a much higher receptivity to these stories, and journalists reporting them are not as afraid of being painted as the America hating, terrorist supporting, weak kneed liberal media minions that they were fearful of being depicted as before. And yes, journalists are not so afraid of the RNC organizing advertiser boycotts for the expression of opinions that are deemed critical of the "Commander in Chief." So it is not just one reason why these stories are being aired now, but a confluence of forces.
But some of us knew and yelled to the moon that this was all bullshit LONG ago, and only a few of the more prescient were willing to listen.
But there still is a long way to go, especially when it comes to convincing the masses and minions about covert activities and black operations that have been conducted.
And some people have a distaste for the term "fascism." Maybe when martial law is declared in the United States, this term will seem a little less antiquated.
And let weazl be one to tell you: it is on the menu.
(Where was the mainstream media on this? It seemed so obvious that it was coming. I mean the Constitution was being shredded merely weeks after 9/11. It should have been fairly clear)
Don't worry. I am just saving you the bother for later on. I am a pretty fast typer, and I don't want you to say that we didn't say it was going to happen.

Does this ring a bell?
Probably not.
In time it might, however.
Stick around.

And even the "progressive" media is way too late, way to slow and way too stupid on things that really matter.
But they are getting there:
