The tip of the DU iceberg

In southern Iraq, leukemia among children and breast cancer among women have increased by 20 percent since the start of the war. Doctors and researchers blame this surge on the breakdown of the Iraqi health care system, harmful pesticides used to grow food and depression of the immune system brought on by living in a constant war zone. Cancer deaths make up 45 percent of total deaths and children are frequently born without limbs or organs or develop cancer in as little time as four weeks after birth.

"Not gonna stop 'til democracy returns?" It causes me a deep-seated fear to guess that your idea of "democracy returning" would probably involve the election of the nefarious Clinton or Obama the megalomaniac. If that is the case, may "democracy" remain forever dead in this country.

Dear anonymous,

Deep seated fear is the tool with which our plutocratic oligarchs whip the masses into submission and obedience.

anonymous, there are only two roads in this world:

The popular road is well traveled by lazy, unthinking, zombies, stuffed with media and institutional propaganda they invariably accept as reality. This is the path of lies and sleepwalkers.

The other, less traveled road, is the path to enlightenment. It is for mental warriors intent upon viewing reality from the vantage ground of truth. It is for vibrant, obsessive-cumpulsive scholars who test stimuli by the scientific method and discard that which is untrue.

Your comment shows that you are caught up in the societal web of incessant propaganda.

Once you are in it, it is not easy to get out of it.

And if you prefer to live by the lie, life is easy. No need for study. The lie is everywhere. It's what the sleepwalkers inhale night and day.
