Weazl received a BA in Economics with an emphasis on developing countries from Yale University in the late 80's, then received his JD from Columbia Law School in the early 90's. He has practiced as both a corporate lawyer and as a criminal lawyer for nearly a decade, but currently tries to balance an interest in the esoteric with a need to decipher the moment, howling to the moon that the ship is sinking.
Hillary would indeed attract the unprecedented fury of the wingnuts, but I don't even think that's the main reason she'd lose. Rather, she'd lose because she's severely angered her own base. Supporting the war in Iraq like this, from the get-go through years and years later, was dumb-- ethically disagreeable and politically stupid. Whatever else the Democrats are, they're bitterly opposed to the Iraq War and generally anti-war overall, and Hillary's shot herself in the foot here.
Plus Dems don't like her domestic stands, either-- she's far too cozy with big business, especially the kind that's opposed to organized labor and fair wages. And Hillary's support for outsourcing is a candidacy killer-- despite Hillary's reputation for being politically astute, doing things like supporting outsourcing is incredibly dumb.
Barack Obama or John Edwards would have a much better shot at winning in 2008. Hillary Clinton is radioactive, and she'd cause the Democrats a worse disaster than they've experienced in decades on the electoral map.
Well, I agree with all that you have written, but I think that the right wing noise machine works more effectively against her than against anyone else.
But I agree with your points completely, and only disagreements between us are just splitting hairs. Thanks for the post.
