CIA shenanigans again . . .

Corroboration: CIA abducted diplomat

An Iraqi online news agency revealed tuesday that the abduction and torture of Iranian diplomat Jalal Sharafi was conducted by the CIA.

According to reports from Al-Akhbar Al-Araq News Agency, Iraqi intelligence forces cooperated with the CIA to carry out the operation.

"Following CIA orders, six members of the Iraqi armed forces captured Sharafi near the Iranian Embassy in Baghdad. Then he was taken to an area known as al-Qadessya where he was grilled and tortured," the Iraqi source disclosed.

The Iranian diplomat has stated that while in custody he was severely tortured by his captors.

The second Secretary of Iran's Embassy in Iraq was kidnapped in February 2007, and returned to Tehran April 3.
