USA Military Base
Bagdadh,Iraq.
Attn:Managing Director
Dear Sir,
I have studied your profile and felt satisfied that it will be useful for my requirements in months ahead.I am a captain in US Army here in Iraq.I served directly under the American administrator in Iraq. This gave me opportunity to be exposed to businesses.Above all,I was able to accumulate over $15million cash that I want to use for business through you immediately I go back home(USA) in months time.
I therefore decided to initiate this business communication with you on
purely private basis.
It is very important you know that this money is with me here in cash and must be transferred to you before I get back home. Then when I get home,I decide what business I will do with this money through you.I need this money transferred as soon as we agree on modalities best to you and me. You know the security problems we have here in Iraq .Also,I have spent 4 years here and maybe redployed back home anytime from next month. As a matter of fact,it will not be possible I carry this big money back home. This is why I want your big cooperation to help secure this money this money in your name.
I will give you 10% for your honest cooperation to protect this money for me in your name.
NB: I am a serving officer,I am not supposed to have such money or do private business, therefore keep it secret for benefit of you and me.
If you agree, reply immediately.
Sincerely,
CRISPIN GREGG.

This is essentially the same as the "Nigeria" scam which I get now and then. It uses the same approach: "I have a bunch of money to get out of the country and I need your bank account information so that I can transfer these millions." Or, "You need to deposit a bunch of money in a Nigerian bank to make this transfer possible." One thing about yours weaz, the English is a bit better.
Here's a link on the subject:

The Secret Service also maintains a web site devoted to the Nigeria Scam. One site I read said that it is alleged that this scam may be the third largest portion of the Nigerian economy.
Yeah, it is similar to the crap that I receive every day in my mailbox, but this is pretty damn creative.
