Weazl has tried to explain the geopolitical situation for some months now, but now the crisis is upon us: the US geopolitical, military, economic, political, moral power is collapsing before us. Now that one of the few remaining US allies, Israel finds itself embroiled in a regional crisis, the US is further alienated in its aims. Given that Lebanon, Syria, and Iran have all recently been targeted by Washington, they have no other option but to all mutually and forcefully ally themselves against Israel. The United States is too embroiled in Iraq, warmongering with Iran and being embarassed by North Korea to help Israel much. Look to the Islamic Brotherhood in Egypt to place a lot of pressure on Hosni Mubarek to take a hard position against Israel. He surely will not, so expect that the civil situation will devolve there as well. Israel is playing quite a dangerous game and seem to have forgotten how hated they are in the world. With Russia and China taking a pro-Iranian position, and Iranian supporting the opponents of Israel, the geopolitical stakes are quite high. Weazl has been talking for a while about the economic repercussions, and as oil now is at an all time high at $76 a barrel with further uncertaintly and possible supply interruptions, there is no limit as to how high this can spike. In addition, keep an eye out for Venezuela to join in throwing darts at Washington using its oil. The Bush doctrine has created a world of enemies, and now in its moment of weakness, look for the enemies to pile on each other.

The United States has effectively destroyed the United Nations and international law. Please note how Iran and North Korea make no pretense for their disdain for international norms and so called deadlines set by the Security Council. It's now a game of survival of the fittest, and Washington has few friends as it finds itself overextended and economically fragile.

As weazl has said earlier: Israel is playing a dangerous game. And all of us may witness the unthinkable as madmen are in control of some very powerful toys.
