Stupid Fools

The idiots in Washington never end in finding ways to completely squander American taxpayer dollars for foolish ends. The lastest idiocy is the US decision to spend over $400 million dollars to purchase huge sums of weapons from Russia to give to the Afghani government "in case a Democratic president wins in 2008." Never mind that this is just a further boon for the now thriving Russian arms manufacturing industry profiting globally from American militarism, but the weapons simply could not be trusted in the hands of the corrupt Afghani warlords and cronies under the Karzai regime, a "democracy" (kleptocracy) where votes where purchased from Afghani warlords with US dollars. This is a clear example of blowback in the making, especially as the violence in Afghanistan is escalating, and the Taliban are re-asserting themselves.

Nice job, George. Another manuever, another misstep.
