The world is really starting to realize how badly it has been swindled by the Bush cabal, and all sorts of rats are running off the ship. The latest crop of defectors from actions leading to the destruction of a nation (Iraq) and the destruction of American conventional military include Tyler Drumheller, the now retired CIA officer in charge of covert operatios in Europe prior to the start of the Iraq war, who got on 60 minutes asserting how CIA intelligence was misused by the White House. In the meantime, another Right Wing pundit comes clean with the obvious: that the cocky bluster about "liberating Iraq," "transforming the Middle East" and other pablum spouted by the Right actually reveals who in fact was sadly naive about the world's operations. Things have now become, by many measures, worse than under Saddam Hussein. Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright is now saying the Iraq fiasco will go down as one of the greatest stragetic errors in American history. Yet where was Madeleine when tens of millions of people across the globe were protesting the war even before it started? And when many marchers were being called naive, yet so many of their prognostications have been proven correct. Yet every day the situation continues to deteriorate, while the lunatics make final plans for their next war, even while Iran continues to integrate itself even more integrally with stragetic partners.
Robert M LaFollete astutely noted that "In times of peace, the war party insists on making preparation for war. As soon as prepared for, it insists on making war." The United States has already strategically lost this upcoming battle with Iran, yet because of the desperation of certain lunatics in refusing to accept the consequences of their already failed policies, the war drums will increasingly beat louder. Now more than ever people need to take action. After the attack against Iran unravels it will simply be too late for the "I'm sorry's." The world simply cannot affort the continued errors of the ideologically compulsive and politically naive.
