Here is a 1943 US Frank Capra propaganda film for Americans. It is important to note how many similarities there are between criticisms of the Nazis and proper claims that can be asserted against the Bush cabal. More importantly, though, is the apparent respect that the Department of Defense had towards the US population to understand and be interested in political issues.
Generations later is appears almost inconceivable that the Department of Defense would seek to discuss issues on such a forthright manner, even if clearly intended to sway public opinion.
We've come a long way, baby. In reverse.
