Wonder if the shift by some in Europe isn't out of a growing fear of a resurgent Russia.

Condo Rice is heading for Russia (that should make things worse) and she is openly poo-pooing any talk of a new Cold War. Why the neocons and their fellow travellers The Democratic Leadership Council wouldn't be delighted by a new Cold War escapes me.

There is already a new cold war and Europe is already overmatched, following the Moron. They had a helluva head start with Yeltsin giving away the country, but following the Moron still fucked it up. Condi will do nothing. Last time she tried to talk to the Russians they told her that she should get laid
