Weazl Words

Well, it's Christmas time, and wealz has worked hard all year, so he'll be taking a little vacation in the Baltic States of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, reading esoteric stuff, staying in cheap hotels and mingling with the natives. That said, there should be internet cafes to connect with the world, so not much will likely change. Speaking about not changing, how 'bout them Democrats? Still spit-licking Republican droppings, voted into office on a wave of Iraq and Bush disatisfaction, yet support the Moron's call to "surge" meaning a) they are still willing to follow the Moron to hell, b) they have learned nothing from Vietnam and c) now they will share even more blame for this failed war when the wasted bodies of American soldiers doesn't make dent in this waiting-to-be-written-off, disasterous war.

Anyway, as you have noticed, weazl has been focused more so on climate change. It is quite clear that this is going to be a far greater issue than the Iraq disaster, and will rank up there, and intersect with, "peak oil" problems that will serve as a double whammy to economic life as we know it. There is still time to make changes, but these have to be daring and creative changes such as using NASA to place certain sun blocking mechanisms to stop the cooling, or using nuclear energy to freeze waters around the North and/or South Poles to prevent and reduce rising waters of glacial melt. None of these is imminent, so weazl must try to raise the alarm as to how big of a threat this actually is.

Anyway, have a happy holiday, whatever your faith and creed it. As you also know, weazl will continue to rail against religion, as these myths have truly outlived their usefulness and simply get in the way of taking rational action that will be necessary to save our economy, our species, our ecosystem and our planet.

Well, just wanted to say that it has been nice in Estonia. Arrived here and stayed with my friend Amar Annus who published this book (speaking of pagans, druids, and other disavowers of the Abrahamic myths). We went out ´til about 5 in the morning with the local crowd (boy, they get shitfaced!).

People are quite friendly. Quite. Nice start. Nice place. Have no set plans. May go just about anywhere. But just figured I'd thank you for your well wishes, a drop a personal note. Cheers, and maybe this can be an open thread to talk about less than world shattering matters.
